A subsidiary of SEPPIC since January 2013, BiotechMarine is specialized in hi-tech bioactive natural substances, extracted from seaweeds and marine plants. It proposes to the cosmetics laboratories a wide range of 80 active ingredients, extracts and stem-cells for personal care. Established in France on the northern coast of Brittany since 1988, its expertise in the world of top marine active ingredients and cutaneous engineering is recognized around the world.

The Bréhat Archipelago is composed of more than 100 small pink rocky islands, houses an exceptional underwater flora. The natural production of seaweeds is one of the most remarkable in the world thanks to the quality of the water, as well as the nourishing effect of a warm current: the Gulf Stream.
More than 800 varieties of brown, red, green, blue seaweeds and microalgae are living in these 1000 acres of large submarine forests. Bréhat is considered as “submarine Amazonia”.
Daily subjected to many stresses (such as water stress, osmotic stress with salinity shocks, thermic stress, UV aggressions…) marine plants develop some ingenious biochemical strategies to survive to the hostile conditions of their natural environment.
From this biological arsenal, BiotechMarine draws a creativity without limit, to deserve the cosmetic innovation.
